Jenei Ocean was born and raised in Hawaii, where her holistic journey first took root 24 years ago. By age 14, she was creating healthy and delicious meals at the ‘source natural foods’ a popular health food lunch bar. She successfully completed an Internship with Naturopathic Doctor Daniel Muffoletto in Seattle, WA, where she studied the clinical application of over 500 Chinese and Aryvedic and Western Herbs, making Aggregates, Tincture and Oils/Salves. Jennifer Wrightington’s interest in the heath field began 1981 when she came across “The Jane Fonda’s Workout Video”! Those humble beginnings lead her to teaching aerobics on the south shore starting in 1985. Ten years later, she became a certified personal trainer through ACE one of the more respected certifications at the time.
The fitness world changed in the mid 1990’s with more interest in concrete holistic health and functional movement. That is when Jennifer realized the deep disconnect between health and fitness and made it her mission to bridge that gap. She became a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach (HLC). She also broadened her scope of movement as well to become a Pilates and Yogafit yoga instructor.
The gap seemed to be closing as she taught people the benefits of working “out” as well as working “in”. Jennifer now continues her education today with studies and trainings in Herbal Protocols from the renowned MediHerb Company as well as maintaining her HLC and obtaining her recent personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Jennifer also worked in the retail world of health and wellness. Jennifer’s ten year career at Whole Foods Market in the Whole Body Department lead her to see the outreach that needs to continue.
To this day she continues to educate the general public of health concerns, food education, how to reach optimal wellness, and enjoys answering any questions people may have.
For over 20 years, Jennifer has helped her clients navigate the barrage of misinformation about health & wellness, weight loss and chronic health issues so they too may be able to enjoy optimal health and wellness.
